Blir det aldrig h\u00f6st, eller? Hon vill ha hundarna i s\u00e4ngen och drapera sig i halsdukar och ny jacka. J\u00e4kla v\u00e4rme att h\u00e4nga i. Och s\u00e5 en morgon \u00e4r det vitt av frost p\u00e5 taken i den lilla staden. Kanalen \u00e5ngar som den g\u00f6r n\u00e4r h\u00f6sten ramlar in. E gnolar och och jag f\u00e5r panik. Tomaterna! Hur blir det nu? V\u00e4lkommen in i k\u00f6ket!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vi har olika preferenser. Jag har varit s\u00e5 n\u00f6jd med v\u00e4rme och l\u00e5ng odlingss\u00e4song att jag l\u00e5tsats som ingenting. H\u00f6sten har varit mig mentalt avl\u00e4gsen. Men mitt psyke \u00e4r en svag v\u00e4derdompt\u00f6r. Kylan \u00e4r h\u00e4r, s\u00e5 \u00e4r det bara.<\/p>\n<p>Och inte finns det mycket att klaga p\u00e5. Jag har sk\u00f6rdat enorma m\u00e4ngder mogna, s\u00f6ta r\u00f6da tomater odlade p\u00e5 friland. Vi har frossat. Men nu \u00e4r det allts\u00e5 \u00f6ver f\u00f6r i \u00e5r. Mitt st\u00e5tliga tomatland h\u00e4nger i bruna trasor. Men plantorna \u00e4r prickiga av piggt gr\u00f6na sm\u00e5tomater. Kommer bli fint till helgens vildsvinsgryta.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jag t\u00e4nker att det ska bli n\u00e5got varmt av dem. N\u00e5got som muntrar upp. Kryddigt och chilihett. N\u00e5got som passar vildsvinsgrytan vi ska g\u00f6ra i helgen. Eller den grillade karr\u00e9n eller lammcyrryn. Det blir chutney helt enkelt. Och s\u00e5h\u00e4r gick det till.<\/p>\n<h2>Chutney p\u00e5 gr\u00f6na tomater<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>600 g gr\u00f6na tomater<\/li>\n<li>1 stor gul l\u00f6k<\/li>\n<li>3 vitl\u00f6ksklyftor<\/li>\n<li>1 \u00e4pple<\/li>\n<li>2 cm av en bit f\u00e4rsk ingef\u00e4ra<\/li>\n<li>1 liten het chilifrukt, typ piripiri<\/li>\n<li>1 kanelst\u00e5ng<\/li>\n<li>1 dl \u00e4ppelcidervin\u00e4ger<\/li>\n<li>1 \u00be dl ljust muscovadosocker, eller annat brunt socker<\/li>\n<li>en aning salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>G\u00f6r s\u00e5h\u00e4r<\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>Tv\u00e4tta tomaterna och sk\u00e4r dem i kvartar. Finhacka l\u00f6k och vitl\u00f6k. Skala \u00e4pplet och t\u00e4rna det fint.<\/li>\n<li>Finhacka f\u00e4rsk ingef\u00e4ra och chili. Gillar du hetta tar du hela chilin annars halverar du den och sk\u00e4r bort mellanv\u00e4ggarna d\u00e4r det mesta av styrkan sitter.<\/li>\n<li>L\u00e4gg alla ingredienserna i en kastrull eller gryta och koka ihop till en ganska fast marmeladig konsistens. Det tar tid. R\u00e4kna med n\u00e4stan en timme p\u00e5 lagom sm\u00e5puttrig v\u00e4rme. H\u00e4ll upp i v\u00e4l rengjorda burkar. Jag diskar f\u00f6rst och l\u00e5ter burkarna st\u00e5 en god stund p\u00e5 100 grader i ugnen innan jag h\u00e4ller i den heta chutneyn.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Chutneyn \u00e4r god direkt, men allra b\u00e4st blir den om man har t\u00e5lamod att v\u00e4nta n\u00e5gra veckor. Receptet funkar bra att koka som dubbel sats om du har ett stort behov av kryddig h\u00f6sttr\u00f6st och en hel del gr\u00f6na tomater att r\u00e4dda. Men obs allt ska inte dubblas. Det r\u00e4cker gott med 4 vitl\u00f6ksklyftor och en kanelst\u00e5ng.<\/p>\n<p>Och som vanligt pratar jag g\u00e4rna mat.
