I alla fall inte om det finns chans till egen odling. Butikernas \u00e4r som de \u00e4r, avl\u00e5nga och orangea. Punkt. Men b\u00f6rjar man titta efter fr\u00f6, \u00e5h d\u00e5 \u00f6ppnar sig en hel v\u00e4rld av smak, f\u00e4rg och form. V\u00e4lkommen in i odlark\u00f6ket!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jag har levt st\u00f6rre delen av mitt liv med mor\u00f6tter som en sm\u00e5trist gr\u00f6nsak att servera vid sidan om. Lite r\u00e5rivet f\u00f6r att man borde, eller n\u00e5got f\u00f6r sm\u00e5barnen att gnaga p\u00e5. Det var innan jag b\u00f6rjade odla sj\u00e4lv. Nuf\u00f6rtiden serveras det mor\u00f6tter till n\u00e4stan alla m\u00e5l och p\u00e5 massor av olika s\u00e4tt.<\/p>\n<p>Redan nu har de f\u00f6rsta teeny-weeny-bladen kommit upp i en av mina pallkragar och det \u00e4r sommarmor\u00f6tterna som \u00e4r p\u00e5 g\u00e5ng. F\u00f6r redan d\u00e4r finns en skillnad. Alla sorter passar inte att lagra \u00f6ver vintern. Det finns en uppsj\u00f6 varianter som ska \u00e4tas direkt. Helst s\u00e5 snart de \u00e4r uppdragna ur jorden. Innan sockerhalten i dem sjunker och de tappar smak.<\/p>\n<p>Sommarmoroten visar upp den st\u00f6rsta variationen i f\u00e4rg, form och smak. De \u00e4r verkligen inte bara en sak. Det \u00f6ppnar sig ett helt morotsuniversum f\u00f6r den som har privilegiet att odla ist\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att vara h\u00e4nvisad till butikernas gr\u00f6nsaksutbud. En regnb\u00e5gsf\u00e4rgad variation som finns hos m\u00e5nga gr\u00f6nsaker.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Odla mor\u00f6tter &#8211; \u00e5rets sortval<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Nantes 2<\/strong> \u2013 H\u00e4r har vi en god orange, avl\u00e5ng morot som verkligen st\u00e4ller upp. Jag s\u00e5r den i flera omg\u00e5ngar och den \u00e4r lika fin som f\u00f6rsommarprim\u00f6r som de sista jag drar upp i oktober. Odlar den b\u00e5de i pallkrage och i b\u00e4ddar p\u00e5 friland. En morot att lita p\u00e5.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purple Haze<\/strong> \u2013 m\u00f6rkt vinr\u00f6d ytterkant med en orange k\u00e4rna. God och vacker att servera ituskuren p\u00e5 olika s\u00e4tt. S\u00e5r den flera g\u00e5nger f\u00f6r att alltid ha tillg\u00e5ng till den i olika storlekar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deep Purple<\/strong> \u2013 just precis som det l\u00e5ter. En rakt genom m\u00f6rkt vinr\u00f6d morot. Jag har h\u00f6rt att det h\u00e4r \u00e4r moroten ursprungsf\u00e4rg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purple dragon<\/strong> \u2013 Orange k\u00e4rna med en rosalila ytterkant. Mycket vacker och n\u00e4stan lite sj\u00e4lvlysande.<\/p>\n<p><strong>White Satin<\/strong> \u2013 En vit, s\u00f6t och god morot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jaune du Doubs<\/strong> \u2013 Knallgul och s\u00f6t i smaken. De kan bli enorma, men jag sk\u00f6rdar innan de blivit f\u00f6r stora. En sort som kan lagras.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sugarsnax<\/strong> \u2013 Smala, orangea mycket s\u00f6ta r\u00f6tter. Riktiga godbitar!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paris Market<\/strong> \u2013 Klotrunda, orangea goda r\u00f6tter som \u00e4r b\u00e4st om de inte f\u00e5r bli f\u00f6r stora. Jag s\u00e5r i omg\u00e5ngar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rothild<\/strong> \u2013 Det h\u00e4r \u00e4r en t\u00e5lig, orange, god sort som jag f\u00f6rra \u00e5ret sk\u00f6rdade p\u00e5 plats fram till jul. Den kan plockas upp och lagras, men mina tog slut. I \u00e5r blir det fler.<\/p>\n<p>Och hur \u00e4ter vi dem d\u00e5? Jag kommer kommer plocka upp morotstr\u00e5den i m\u00e5nga recept fram\u00f6ver, men h\u00e4r \u00e4r n\u00e5gra exempel: ugnsrostade funkar alltid.
