Till soppa, sallad eller mellis. V\u00e4lkommen in i k\u00f6ket!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Konstigt nog s\u00e5 presenteras french toast oftast som en s\u00f6t r\u00e4tt. Lite som en variant av amerikanska pannkakor. Ni vet de tjocka med slingriga sirapssp\u00e5r, jordn\u00f6tssm\u00f6r och sylt eller b\u00e4r. Det ska liksom vara \u00f6verd\u00e5digt, inget kan bli f\u00f6r mycket.\u00a0 Gott absolut, men det h\u00e4r \u00e4r en toast som borde f\u00e5 ett st\u00f6rre och bredare utrymme. Eller kanske snarare uppskattas f\u00f6r att de \u00e4r alldeles ljuvliga utan allt bling. Jag g\u00f6r det enkelt med ost.<\/p>\n<p>Det h\u00e4r \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 det perfekta s\u00e4ttet att ta hand om br\u00f6d som legat n\u00e5gon dag. En svinnr\u00e4ddare som blir minst lika god som br\u00f6det var precis nybakat.<\/p>\n<p>Grunden \u00e4r enkel: br\u00f6d i skivor och det ska vara en sort som suger \u00e5t sig v\u00e4tska. I alla fall i den h\u00e4r varianten.<\/p>\n<p>Br\u00f6d, \u00e4gg och mj\u00f6lk. Det l\u00e5ter inte mycket f\u00f6r v\u00e4rlden, men resultatet blir mycket mer \u00e4n delarna. En tallrik med vispat \u00e4gg och mj\u00f6lk, den rivna osten och den heta stekpannan. P\u00e5 ett kick \u00e4r mackorna v\u00e4nda i \u00e4ggsmeten, bestr\u00f6dda med ost och placerade i pannan. Och sen, ja sen \u00e4r det bara att \u00e4ta. H\u00e4ll p\u00e5 mj\u00f6lken och vispa l\u00e4tt.<\/li>\n<li>Hetta upp fett i en stekpanna. Det ska inte vara f\u00f6r hett. V\u00e4nd br\u00f6dskivorna i smeten, str\u00f6 \u00f6ver ost och stek i pannan.<\/li>\n<li>Kika p\u00e5 undersidan och v\u00e4nd n\u00e4r f\u00e4rgen \u00e4r den r\u00e4tta gyllenbruna. Servera genast.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Det finns m\u00e5nga s\u00e4tt att g\u00f6ra toast eller \u201dfattiga riddare\u201d som de ocks\u00e5 kan kallas.
